Learn the full history

This is the perfect time to learn the full history of Juneteenth and share it with your kids. This holiday has been celebrated since 1865, and it’s important to understand the significance of what it commemorates. You can find resources for teaching about Juneteenth online or at your local library.

Storytime: Read age-appropriate books about Juneteenth and the history of slavery in America.
