Supplies Needed
Before we begin, gather the following materials:
- Fruit snacks 0.8-0.9 oz
- Printer
- Photo paper or your choice of copy paper
- Scissors or paper trimmer
- Double-sided Tape or Hot Glue gun
- Optional Paper Crimper & pinking Zig Zag Scissors
To get started, Hop to Canva.com to sign up (for free!) or log in - it's easy! Just click the link to create a free account or Try Canva Pro Free for 30 Days and you're ready to get started.
Step 1: Create a New Design in Canva
First, head over to Canva.com and either login or create a new account for free. Once you're logged in, click on "Create a design" in the top-left corner and select "Custom dimensions." Set the page size to 8.5 by 11 inches and click "Create design."Then, head to "Elements" and pick the square shape from "Lines and Shapes." Add the square to your page and use the measurements from the video to make labels.
Step 2: Customize the Labels
Now it's time to get creative! Create a look that reflects the tone of the occasion by selecting a preferred background color or pattern. Include personalized text such as a name, occasion, or fun phrase. Tweak font, size, and color to achieve the desired outcome. Or add images and clipart to get the desired effect.
Step 3: Save and Download Your Design
Once you have created the desired custom label design, tap the "Download" button located in the upper-right corner. For the best printing quality, select the "PDF Print" file format.
Step 4: Print and Cut Out Your Wrappers
Choose between photo paper or regular copy paper based on your preference and budget. Photo paper gives a glossy and professional finish, while copy paper works well for a more casual look. Once printed, use scissors or a paper trimmer to cut out the wrappers along the designated lines.
Step 5: Wrap Your Candy Wrappers
Now it's time to assemble your custom party favors! Lay your candy wrapper label face down and place the Fruit Snacks pouch on top of it. Fold over the left and right flaps of the custom wrapper, you can use double-sided tape for a quick and clean finish or a hot glue gun can be used for a stronger hold to attach the right side to the left. Finally, seal the sides closed.
